Who we are
"The Good Part" (@itsthegoodpart) is a short-form video brand operated by Aurelian Syndicate L.L.C. ("we", "us"). We publish short clips from podcasts, livestreams, and comedy on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. To produce and publish those clips we use Clip Bot, a private internal tool. This policy explains what information we handle and why.
Visitors to this website
This website has no cookies, analytics, advertising, or forms. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log basic technical information about requests (such as IP addresses) under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Viewers of our channels
We do not collect personal information about people who watch our videos. Your use of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook is governed by those platforms' own privacy policies. Like any account owner, we can see aggregate statistics the platforms provide, such as view and like counts.
What Clip Bot accesses, and why
Clip Bot is used only by us, and only with our own accounts. No one else can sign in to it. It accesses:
- YouTube, through YouTube API Services, with permission to upload videos
(
youtube.upload) and to read our own channel and video information (youtube.readonly). We use this to upload clips we have approved to our own channel and to read view counts for our own videos. - TikTok, through Login Kit and the Content Posting API (
user.info.basic,video.upload,video.publish), to publish our approved clips to our own TikTok account. - Instagram and Facebook, through the Instagram API with Facebook Login (including
instagram_basic,instagram_content_publish,instagram_branded_content_creator,instagram_manage_insights,pages_show_list, andpages_read_engagement), to publish our approved Reels, apply paid-partnership labels, and read statistics for our own posts.
We do not access anyone else's accounts, and we do not collect information about viewers.
How this information is stored and used
Access tokens and our own video statistics are stored only on our own computer, on an encrypted disk. We use the statistics only to learn which of our clips perform well. We never sell this information, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.
Service providers
To choose moments and write titles for clips, Clip Bot sends the transcript text of source videos to TypeSafe (the Jev model) and Anthropic (the Claude API). No information obtained from YouTube, Google, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook accounts is sent to these providers.
Google API Services
Clip Bot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Clip Bot uses YouTube API Services; see the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Retention, revoking access, and deletion
We keep access tokens until we revoke them, and our video statistics while the channels operate. Access to a Google account can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook have similar connected-apps settings. To ask about or delete any information we hold about you, for example if you have emailed us, contact aureliansyndicate@gmail.com.
If you email us, we use your address only to reply to you.
Children
Our website and tool are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
